This is My Story
You are who you are because of your trials and experiences.
I was always a hard worker and would do whatever it took to achieve the results that I was looking for. I started a business when I was 29 yrs. old, worked long hours and dreamed of success. My hard work paid off and after a couple of years I had the thriving business that I had dreamed of, lots of money was rolling in and I spent far less than I made.
Fast forward…At age 42, I was what many would call a successful traditional business owner but as they say, life can turn on a dime. I found myself going through a difficult divorce and the result was that I was left with not much more than the shirt on my back, a huge amount of debt and no where to go. I got a job and spent the next few years putting my life back together. Eventually my head was in the right place, my finances were getting healthier and I felt that it was time to begin looking for the woman of my dreams. I sat down one night, made a list of all of my dream girl’s best qualities. When it was completed I read through it and realized that this woman couldn’t possibly exist! I held on to my list and my dream of finding her and I did what most single people who don’t hang out in bars do…I signed up with Match.com. Hey, I thought that I might just find her and if I don’t, it didn’t cost me much in time or money. We’ll as they say, if the dream is big enough, the facts don’t count and I found and married the beautiful woman in the picture with me, my dream girl.
I had now been an employee for about 4 yrs. and didn’t like having a limit on how much money I could make. I started looking for something to supplement our income and I focused on the MLM industry. My father was in Amway when I was growing up and he made excellent money in that business. I joined my first MLM company back in the early 1980′s and my second in the later 1980′s. I gave Amway a shot back in the 1990’s and even though I was not a huge success story, I had enough success and knew that the MLM industry was the best way to get to where I wanted to go. I was looking for the right company for me and my wife and one of my friends introduced me to a company that he had recently joined. He had also been in the industry with another company some years ago but vowed that he would never do it again. This company made sense to him and to me as well, we liked what we saw, so we joined and began to build a business.
It didn’t take long and I realized that this company had a huge flaw. They lacked a system to develop an organization of significant size so I started to look for a system to plug my organization in to. What I found was very interesting and surprising…there are a whole lot systems and MLM Guru’s out there! As I dug deeper I found out that only a few of them had actually built large organizations and I wanted to learn from those people, not the ones who were faking it. I found many different methods and ideas for marketing my business and lots of different ways to duplicate this throughout an organization. Another common factor that I saw with many of these Guru’s is that they had built their organizations some time ago…some as many as 10, 20 or 30 yrs. ago. They were now out there training people in the methods that they used. This concerned me because our society has changed…the way we go to business has changed…technology has changed and the way we spend our time has changed. So why was it that these Guru’s were still teaching people to build their MLM businesses with these old methods? The bottom line is…that’s all they know because that’s how they built their businesses back in their days of glory. Do their methods work? Sure… maybe, but from what I’ve experienced it was an incredible amount of work and expense to try something that was old and stale. I could still learn some things from them but I had already tried many of these methods with very limited success.
I began thinking that the biggest change that has happened since I had joined my first MLM company and now, and when these MLM Guru’s had built their businesses was the development of the internet. I wondered if maybe there was a way to build this business on the internet but avoid the pitfalls of being the person hiding behind a computer monitor? After all, this is a relationship business… Could you build a large organization and strong relationships with your downline using the internet? Was there a proven system or would I need to develop one? Then I ran into Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring book…What an eye opener! This book confirmed my thoughts and laid out a plan that works today, not 20 yrs. ago. Mike ran into the same challenges that I did and asked the same questions? He broke everything down, dissected it and created some solutions that actually work today…BRILLIANT! I thought to myself… if I had only read Magnetic Sponsoring years ago, where would I be today?
My journey continued and I crossed paths with my now good friend David Wood. David and I had a similar path in many ways and were both former Amway distributors and David was having some incredible success on the internet with his business. I had many conversations with him and eventually I picked up the phone and call him to tell him that I was going to join his company. That decision changed the direction of my life’s work.
When I began working with Dave Wood I gained a new perspective of the MLM business. I also learned that I needed to profit even when people didn’t join me and Dave showed me how to do that. I began earning multiple checks each month instead of only one check like my old upline was teaching me. I also made money even if people didn’t join me and my MLM business with Dave Wood as my upline was growing, but not as fast as I wanted it to. What was the problem? Well, I expected to get the same results as David Wood and I soon realized that he was a mutant! Oh, I have some good days and sponsored 2 people on those days, but Dave was doing that every single day.
One day Dave realized that he was a mutant and he stopped trying to have people do and be “him”. He began to see what he could do to help others to tap into his “genius” and that began the experimentation period that lasted about 2 years or so. All of this experimentation paid off because it was the seed of the Empower Network.
On Oct. 28th 2011 I was let go from my job and on Oct. 31st 2011 Empower Network was launched! I was all in having purchased all of the products when so many others sat there wondering if it was going to work or not. I had no doubts, I knew Dave too well. This was it, this was the big fish. Dave told me about this launch months before and said that it would be the easiest way to make money online that the world had ever seen. He was right! Empower Network is positively the easiest and simplest way to earn money online because it teaches you everything that you need to know to create any size income that you want.
I’ve been blessed! The decisions we have made have completely changed our business, our lives and where were headed. Today my wife and I work together in building our business as it grows and expands around the world. We are a team and along with our leaders are helping people to take control of their lives and their finances. My goals have changed as well. This discovery is something that I feel obligated to share with as many struggling network marketers as I can find. My frustrations with this industry are nothing more than a memory and I want it to be a memory for you as well. Success is within your reach and if the dream is still in you, there’s finally a very predictable way that absolutely works. THIS ABSOLUTELY WORKS.
